Situating Tool using Geo-gebra and C-Map

Image
Date: 9 th June 2022         Situating Tool using Geogebra and C-Map In today’s session, we looked at other two situating tools. First is geogebra which is a dynamic mathematics software for all levels of education that brings together geometry, algebra, spreadsheets, graphing, statistics and calculus in one engine. We can do constructions with points, vectors, segments, lines, conic sections as well as functions and change them dynamically afterwards.  We first constructed an equilateral triangle. The procedures are mentioned below: 1. Draw two points A and B using the New Point tool. 2. Draw the line segment AB using the Segment between two points. 3. From A draw a circle through B using the Circle with Centre through a Point tool. 4. From B draw a circle through A using the Circle with Centre through a Point tool 5. Find one intersection C of the two circles using the Intersect Two Objects tool. 6. Draw the line segments ...

GraphCalc and Simulation Games as Situating Tool

Image
Date: 6 th June 2022          Situating Tool Using GraphCalc and Simulation Games   Situating tools are systems or application which situate user in an environment where they may experience the context and happening. In another words we can say it is a tool which enables the teacher and the learner to situate in an environment to experience the context. Using of ICT as a situating tool in the learning classroom will helps the users to experience a virtually real environment mostly in a 3D image. Some of the examples of situating tools are simulation instructional game, virtual reality, google earth, geogebra, and c-map. Using of simulation is extremely useful in the classroom. It assists the instructor to furnish the students with certain real-life environment which is troublesome or difficult to achieve. With respect to the students, it assists them with encountering those real-life situations which they have never been to. In...
